Back from Houston

Hello,
I'm back from my trip. I had a really good time at Houston. I was able to see Andy and his family every day of the trip. Steph and I are planning to go visit again in about 2 weeks, depending on our work schedule. Andy's faith is strong, I am very thankful for that.

Once I arrived at home, Buttons was very very excited to see me. I really missed her and was sort of worried since I was relying on my mom and Bryan (my little brother) to take care of her. Thank you mom and B for taking such great care of her! Here is a picture of her sleeping on the bed her Auntie Catherine bought her. (Catherine is my lilttle sister)

The business card that I designed (with Steph and Tiff's help) arrived as well. The reward card is printed in the back. Please check on the "Reward" post for more information.

I will post more projects I created last week tomorrow :) I am so tired from the trip. The airplane ride from Houston to Phoenix was not pleasant. More to follow!

Houston

Good Morning!
I am currently in Houston right now visiting Andy. My best friend, Stephanie, took some time off her busy work schedule to travel and visit Andy with me. I am so touched by her love and generosity.

We departed yesterday at 6:45am and arrived around 2pm in Houston. I got to see Andy yesterday! :) His family was there to support him. I got to spend about 2 hours with Tiffany and family and about 40 minutes with Andy before he needed more rest. Praise the Lord! Andy and Tiff have many visitors coming in so I was lucky that I got able to squeeze in between their visitors.

Heading out to visit him now. Please continue to pray for Andy for some good rest.

Prayer Request

Hello Friends,
My friend Anderson is going through some hard times right now. I met Andy in 9th grade at IPS class. He is a great guy that enjoys food, softball, and a good joke. I still remember getting our drivers permit together at DMV in West Covina. He is battling cancer right now in Houston. Please keep him, his wife Tiffany, his family in your prayers and thoughts.

I also want to thank the kids at FECDB, Gu, Steph, for their prayers and support tonight. The kids gave me an overwhelming sense of peace. They reminded how loved and blessed I am during this difficult time. I praise Lord for this wonderful church family that He provided for me. He is Amazing! Thank you guys (FECDB Youth Group)! I truly appreciate your support, your prayers, your wisdom, and just you being you.

Bookmark

I found this bookmark idea that I really liked from watching YouTube. It was made from using a scallop square frame from On Board Essentials (Item 112085). I wanted to demonstrate a similar bookmark idea in my future classes. However, the On Board Essentials only have 1 frame per packet so I had to find an alterative way to create this project since I will need many many frames.

So, I ordered chipboards :) I use my Sizzix Big Shot to cut out the die. Painted it, Stamped it, and here it is...

Materials Used: Cheap Talk (113204), Tangerine Tango Ink (111834). Sizzix Big Shot (113439). Scallop Circle #2 (113469). You can buy your supplies here. I am also planning to make this into a DIY kit in the near future.

Here is a picture of how you use it as a bookmark.

Hostess Benefits

So a little housekeeping: here is the information in regards to hostess benefits. Anyone can host a party or workshop. This is a fun get-together with family and friends to share the fun of creativity. I will be available to present some creative projects and you will have the opportunity to earn free exclusive products!

Please contact me for more information or visit
my Stampin'Up! Website.

Upcoming Event

Jen will be hosting a workshop on June 6th (Saturday) at noon. I am really excited about this since it will be just a bunch of friends and coworkers sharing our ideas. The attendees will be veteran stampers so I get to learn new tricks. Jen will be sharing her shaker card technique. We will be using the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set (Item # 111618).

I, on the other hand want to share the popsicle card for the summer months that can easily be used as a greeting card or a fun invitation for the summer parties and bbq. Lastly the project that I will be sharing is the post it note holder.

The location of this event will be at Jen's apartment in Huntington Beach. Jen will also be eligible for all the hostess benefits and the "Book to Look" gift.

At the Beginning

I finally got the layout for my business card created. (Thanks for helping me brainstorm Tiff!!) I will post a picture up as soon as I have a chance to actually make it. The business cards will be handmade, made from scratch. Since my cousin Tiffany helped me with this project, I made a post it note holder to thank her. This is the first project I will be offering in my classes. I am also working on the DIY kit. Hopefully, that will be available by this weekend.
