I am sure many of you are following the latest updates on Haiti. Many of my friends have been asking me where is my God in the 7.0 earthquake It was hard for me to explain myself in a way where they would understand, and not be offensive. God, all powerful, all knowing, is here. He is love. As much as all of us are hurting over the lost, as much as the survivors are in pain, his pain surpasses them all. So yes, He knows and yes He hurts for all of us too. He takes no joy in suffering. So why did it happen? I don't know. All I know is to have faith that God, who created the universe, who created all things, knows what He is doing.
For my thoughts are not your thought, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are highter than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8
I was doing some research to see what is a way that I can help contribute. My company no longer offers matching to donation so I am asking around to see which of my friends does. So, please let me know!
Costco is currently offering 100% donation matching to Red Cross.
Food for the Poor - 97.7% of the money collected goes directly to the relief efforts.
At the mean time, please continue to pray for the survivors, for our volunteers, for the lost.
