Last night I watched The Stoning of Soraya M. This movie is based on a true story about one of the victims of stoning in modern Iran. This movie illustrated the lack of woman rights, uncivil laws, mob mentality, the lists goes on. My heart breaks that in today's day and age, the meaning of justice and fairness does not exist in many parts of the world. One part of the movie that truly bothered me was under Sharia Law, women need to prove their innocence, while men needs proof to show guilt. How does a women prove innocence? How does anyone prove innocence? I am just doing my part to spread the word about the violence and please go watch the movie.
